The Irish Eyes Were Smiling
Séamus (formerly known as Rowdy) is a WONDERFUL addition to our family!
After looking at the Newington shelter every day for a week my husband and I began to resign ourselves to the thought that we may not find a dog any time soon. We went away for New Years weekend to watch a football game and decided on our way home that we would stop in one more time to just look. The first dog that caught my eye was Rowdy. He looked over at me, urinated in the cage, and then decided to sit by the gate. Although not thoroughly impressed by his lack of shame, I sat with him and pet him for a while. He sat next to me at the gate the entire time and I joked that we "had a moment." We asked if could meet him and sure enough he was exactly the puppy for us.
Rowdy, who is now known as Séamus (SHAY-MUS), is the best dog we could've ever asked for. He plays like a puppy, is sweet, doesn't bark, likes to cuddle and all of our family and friends love him!
