Archie Bunker is the best addition to our family!

Mom and I went to the Westport branch of the humane society on a whim one day to look at the dogs and cats. And there he was - sad little eyes, short little feet - Archie Bunker was the cutest little mini-dachshund ever - the addition to our family we never expected to come across on that random June afternoon. He had scabs on his ears, legs, and tail from apparent food allergy/mites, and he appeared a little older than the 4 years he was stated to be, but there was something about his face and eyes that attracted us to him. We took him for a walk behind the humane society building and as Archie ran through the grass we just knew that this was a bond we would never be able to break. His ears perked up when we called his name... we could see that he was growing to love us just as we loved him. So we made our donation, filled out the forms, and took our little man home. A few treatments from our local veterenarian and a swift adjustment to his diet, and Archie was a new dog! He loves his new home and we love him. He keeps us energized and on our toes, and he makes every day just a bit more enjoyable. The best June afternoon for dog and owner was the day we found Archie.
