VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROUPS

On occasion, volunteer groups are able to assist with our special events or with special projects. The Connecticut Humane Society has a dedicated team of trained volunteers that come each week to work with our shelter animals. For safety reasons, we do not allow volunteer groups to work hands-on with the shelter animals. Individuals looking to join our volunteer program can check out our current volunteer needs.

Volunteers Needed to Collect Pet Food
We are in need of volunteers to collect donations of pet food for our pet food pantry which benefits members of the community who are struggling to feed their pets. Volunteers arrange a collection drive at their workplace, school, church, neighborhood, or at a local business. The Connecticut Humane Society can provide collection bins, signage, and flyers. Corporate volunteers and group volunteers are encouraged to arrange a fundraiser or supply collection to benefit our shelter animals. Check out our Wish List for a list of items that we are currently accepting.
