COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS
 |
At this time, the Connecticut Humane Society is not able to take on volunteers that are under the age of 18. Students under the age of 18 who would like to learn about ways they can get involved with helping our shelter animals can visit the Kids Care section of our website.
|
Students who need to earn community service credits for school or a youth organization are encouraged to arrange a fundraiser such as a penny drive or bake sale, or a collection of supplies to benefit the shelter animals. Check out our Wish List for a list of items that we are currently accepting, or visit our Pet Food Pantry page for information about arranging a pet food drive.
Student and youth groups may request an educational behind-the-scenes shelter tour at our facility.
For specific information about community involvement opportunities for students, please contact our Public Relations Director, Alicia Wright, at 860-594-4502 x.6309 or at awright@cthumane.org.
