FOSTER CARE
Connecticut Humane Society Foster Care Volunteers temporarily care for animals in their own homes until they are ready for adoption. Foster care volunteers provide individualized care and socialization for some of the most needy shelter animals.
The Connecticut Humane Society provides all of the supplies needed during the foster period. Volunteers experience all of the joys of parenting without the lifetime responsibility or financial cost. The typical foster period is 2-8 weeks, depending on the needs of the animal(s).
