Group Volunteer Opportunities

The Connecticut Humane Society  occasionally has opportunities available at the pet adoption centers for service groups seeking special projects to benefit the organization. Projects typically consist of landscaping/maintenance work. Groups may also get involved by organizing an independent service project. See below for current group needs.

For safety reasons, working with the animals requires specialized training and is not available for group volunteer initiatives. We have a dedicated team of regular volunteers who work with the pets. Learn about becoming a member of the volunteer team.

Organize a Supply Drive:
Volunteers are needed to collect supplies to benefit pets in need. Volunteers may arrange a supply drive at their workplace, school, place of worship, neighborhood, or at a local business. CHS can provide signage and flyers if needed. Learn more.

Organize a Fundraiser:
Corporate and group volunteers can coordinate a fundraiser to benefit the shelter animals. Get started!
