Tune in on Thursday mornings.

Rex has an interesting story. He and his mother were found as strays. Rex's front legs are turned inward at the feet causing him to walk on his elbows to get around. He likes other cats and may do well in a home with a friendly dog. He may also enjoy the company of quiet and respectful kids. But Rex must always be an indoor kitty for his safety! Visit Newington today and fall in love.

Found as a stray, Isabella of Castile has proven to be a truly regal. Just like a queen, she commands attention because of her good looks and her ability capture the room with her splendor. This 1-year old would be a good fit for just about any family. She'll welcome some assistance with keeping her long locks beautiful and will revel in any attention you shower upon her. Visit her in Newington and be dazzled by her brilliance!

At 1-year old, we would consider Ollie an “old soul.” He is quiet and reserved, always thinking about his next step. He prefers the company of adults and a home that is calm without the upheaval of chaos. He enjoys attention and love and would be the perfect companion for a single person or couple. Visit him in Waterford and fall in love.

Tune in on Wednesday
at  4:30 pm.

Take a chance on “Chance” and you won’t be disappointed. He comes to us from one of our animal control partners and is hoping to take advantage of all the extra foot traffic in the adoption center. He is 7-years old and still has his moments of high energy. (What hound doesn’t?) He is seeking a single family home with a fenced in yard and adults and older kids as human friends. Visit and take a chance, you’ll be glad you did.

Tune in on Wednesday
at 9:15 am.

Aphrodite was found as a stray in Bridgeport. When she came to CHS, we discovered that the poor young girl had been infected with heart worms. Heart worm can be fatal if not treated, so our vets got to work right away to help Aphrodite through this infection. The treatment takes quite a while, so while she has been in our care, Aphrodite has learned many new things. She knows sit, down, touch, and come. We didn't have to teach her how to snuggle, as she was already a world-class little lapdog. She is also a professional wiggler, squirming with glee every time a new person comes to meet her. Aphrodite is just finishing her treatment, and will be available for adoption next week. We hope to find a home for her soon. To learn more about Aphrodite, visit Westport today..
