In order to offer affordable care to those in financial need, clinic fees are generally reduced by 20-30% from what can be found at other veterinary hospitals. Fees are not based on an individual’s income. There are several programs that offer further discounts to clients: the Special Assistance Fund, low-cost vaccine clinics, low-cost heartworm clinics and the Pet Food Pantry. Yes, the clinic staff works very hard to see as many patients as possible each day. We understand the need in the community and welcome all new patients.
All pets must be restrained. Dogs should be leashed, and cats should be in a pet carrier. If you do not have a leash, please leave your dog outside with a friend while you speak to the reception staff. We will provide you with a leash. Upon scheduling your appointment, you will asked to bring a valid rabies certificate, and any previous medical records and vaccination schedules that you may have. This will help you save more money by not repeating diagnostics and vaccinations that have already been performed.
If your pet is a regular patient of the clinic, we will be glad to refill your prescriptions. There is a dedicated phone extension to request refills. This will enable you to get through the telephone system quickly. A trained staff member will return your call within 24 hours. Access the prescription line as follows: call 860-594-4503, when prompted press 88, when prompted again choose option 7. Federal Law prohibits the dispensing of prescription medications without a client-patient relationship.
