Sponsored Pets of the Month

The results of philanthropy are always beyond calculation.’ –Miriam Beard

The Connecticut Humane Society is thrilled to have several wonderful supporters sponsor our most needy pets each month. Their help makes it possible for these pets to go home more quickly than would otherwise be possible.

Anybody from individuals, to families, to local businesses can take part in this very worthwhile program.

The current lineup of monthly sponsors include Monaco Ford, local teens Marisa and Tori, and Christine and Al.

If you would like to get involved, send us an email at info@cthumane.org and join us in saving pets' lives!

Nena
3 years old
Staffordshire bull terrier mix
Spayed female

MOOoooOO Woof woof Moooooo!
Nena may still be learning the proper bovine vernacular, but she certainly has the looks down. Our black and white spotted friend is looking for a wonderful home (or pasture) that she can call her own. Her soulful eyes combined with her sometimes stubborn personality also showcase the overlap between her canine and bovine identities. Although we've noticed that she is a relatively quiet dog, Nena would do best in a single family home or condo so she can have the exercise that she rightfully needs every day. Don't let her fool you though. Nena certainly has the energy of a dog and can be a high jumper when she gets excited so children over the age of 8 would be best for her. If you think that Nena would be a great addition to your home or would like to know more about her, please give us a call (or a MOOOO!) in Westport.

Fiona
12 years old
Domestic short hair mix
Spayed female

Adopt Fiona and you'll have a ready made feline family. Why? Because she needs to go home with her very best friend Chloe. They are BFF's that don't want to be separated. They need a quiet home and enjoy the company of teens and adults. They will need to be indoor kitties for their safety. Chloe is missing her right hind paw so is at a disadvantage when it comes to climbing trees to get away from aggressive wild animals. Visit them in Waterford and fall in love.

Please note: the pets featured here were available at the time of posting. Pets are adopted daily and we cannot guarantee the availability of those pictured. There is always a great selection of companion pets. Visit www.cthumane.org/adopt to view the pets currently available or in person to find the perfect friend for your family!
