Quality Subaru put the pedal to the metal for this year's Share the Love donation to the Connecticut Humane Society, zooming right past the original goal and leaving it in the dust.
The Wallingford-based dealership made a $16,376 donation to the pets through the Share the Love campaign to put toward their care and medical needs. CHS Executive Director Gordon Willard accepted the donation in an April visit to Quality Subaru, although Great Pyrenees mix Montague, who attended as a canine representative, stole the show (and lots of hugs).
Monty got adopted later that day, but his buddies still at CHS will benefit from the generous gift, which will help fund spays and neuters, urgent surgeries, vaccinations, treatment of chronic conditions and dental work through CHS’ medical team.
The dealership had partnered with multiple charities for the Share the Love campaign. People buying a new car had the choice to ask Subaru to pledge to make a $250 gift to the pets from the vehicle they purchased in December and early January. And it surely added up!
CHS has previously benefitted from Quality Subaru’s Share the Love campaign, in addition to its “Fill the Outback” donation drives.
