The ball is in your court—score a slam dunk for pets in need and be their MVP! Don’t worry; no jersey, jump shots or dribbling required.
Simply donate to the Connecticut Humane Society through the Brackets for Good fundraiser starting Friday, March 2! CHS is competing against 59 other nonprofits in the charity world’s version of NCAA college basketball tournament brackets, but in this match-up, donated dollars will equal points. (Ask the sports fanatic in your life for an inside look at brackets.)
The pets have a chance to win $10,000 at the end if they receive the most donations! That’s a lot of spay/neuters, lifesaving surgeries or even vaccinations.
The competition lasts through March, just like the college basketball tournament. But only a select number of nonprofits who receive the most donations will move onto the semifinal rounds. (The best part is, every donation you give will go to the pets, even if CHS isn’t one of the “highest-scoring” groups advancing to the next bracket in the donation tournament.)
When each new round starts, the points are reset to 0 for every charity that is still eligible to compete—so everyone starts on a level playing “court.” The pets will be counting on you for a high score! Rack up their points by:
You can make a new gift each round that CHS is still competing. Don’t forget to spread the word through social media!
The pets have their hearts set on making it to the championship! So don’t just cheer them on from the (virtual) bleachers. Be a team player, and make your gift for the pets’ second round from Friday, March 16, through Friday, March 23.
