Volunteer Opportunities, Westport

Read below to learn about current volunteer openings at the Westport Pet Wellness and Adoption Center and the requirements for each position. If you see a position that meets your interests and availability, complete the online volunteer application. Selected applicants will be invited in for an interview.

Note: You must be 18 or older to volunteer. Students under 18 can get involved and earn service credits by completing a service project.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Westport Adoption Center

Cat Cuddlers      

Experienced cat enthusiasts are needed to join the volunteer team at the Westport adoption center. Volunteers provide socialization and exercise for the cats during their stay. Safety training is provided.

Requirements: 18+, have active health insurance, comfortable working around all types of cats, be in good physical condition, able to work independently with limited supervision, able to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively communicate with staff, other volunteers and the public.

Commitment: 2 hours per week on a set-schedule for at least 6 months

Open Shifts:
Mondays 3:30PM-5:30PM
Tuesdays 12:00PM-2:00PM
Tuesdays 3:30PM-5:30PM
Wednesdays 12:00PM-2:00PM
Thursdays 8:30AM-10:30AM
Saturdays 3:30PM-5:30PM
